Encaustic and Oil Painting
My expressive paintings are nature abstracted, glimpsed, and fragmented - more about the unseen than the seen. They are heavily textured and layered, often showing evidence of my additive and subtractive process that explores the fragility and resilience of our environment. Obsessed by pigments, I thrive on alternating between oils, my primary medium, encaustics, and watercolors. I continually seek ways to weave conservation and sustainability into my studio practice and materials.
